Day One: Sorong
We advise our guest to arrive one day early so they can well rest in Sorong Hotel. We will pick up the guest at Hotel Lobby at 9.30AM to transfer to the vessel at the departure date.

Should our guests flying in and arrive at the day of departure, our crew will be waiting outside the arrival hall according to their morning flight schedule. They will escort you to the Pearl of Papua. After a 15 minutes ride you will be onboard the vessel, cabin allocation and ship orientation will take place before departure, take this time to familiarize yourself with the facilities and make yourself comfortable.

For those arriving from Wasai, the capital city of Raja Ampat, they must arrive one day earlier so we can pick them up from the hotel in Sorong at 9.30am on the day of the boat’s departure.

Our boat departs from Usaha Mina Private Jetty, Sorong at 10AM.
Lunch and dinner will be served while heading towards Raja Ampat National Park. We will sail from Sorong to Misool roughly 12 hours journey. When time and all factors permitting, we will have check dive at Matan Island.

If you fly from afar and arrive on the same morning as your departure date and feel tired and unfit to dive, our Cruise Manager has the right to prohibit you from diving that day for safety reasons.

Day Two: Daram – Misool

We wrapped up the diving to sail and begin the long journey from Misool to Paynemo -Central-North of Raja Ampat. It takes to fourteen hours sailing.

Day Five: Fam and Paynemo
Spread over nearly 700 square kilometers of ocean, just above the midway point on Raja Ampat’s north-south axis, Fam and Paynemo’s vivid coral gardens revel in the nutrient rich water brought forth from the Dampier Straits. As such, the hard coral seascape at Melissa’s Garden is virtually unrivaled.

From Paynemo we continue our sailing to hop another island in the Central Raja Ampat. The famous Dampier Straits.

Day Six: Fam & Arborek
The Dampier Straits contain some of Raja Ampat’s most action-packed dives. There are a number of wonderful sites in the area, many of which are exposed to and best-dived when the current is running. Encounters with Oceanic Mantas, various Sharks, Bumphead Parrotfish, schools of Barracuda, Oceanic Triggerfish, and Big-Eyed Trevally are quite common. The sheer number of fish is literally astounding. At times shoals are so thick the sunlight is practically blocked out.

Arborek is a small island inhabited by about 130 local Papuans. Here you will have the opportunity to take a more intimate look at their lives as well as explore an authentic village.

Day Seven: Dampier Straits
Today you will dive at Chicken Reef and Sardine Reef, these dive spots offer an unforgettable diving experience where you may spot huge schools of fishes being stalked by barracuda and trevally.

Finally, what better way to end your diving expedition than to have a barbeque on an uninhabited island? The crew will prepare a wonderful meal for you to enjoy as you watch thousands of fruit bats begin their journey to neighboring islands in search of food.

Day Eight
Your last day of diving will be done by calculating safety in mind. You will have two dives in the shallows before lunch time. So, it is safe for some of you who want to fly out on the next day. You will have a “no flight time” of 18-20 hours. Our diving activity on day 7 consist of 2 dives. You can book morning flight on the next day.

These dive spots offer an unforgettable diving experience where you may spot huge schools offishes being stalked by barracuda and trevally. And if we’re lucky even a few manta rays!

After completing our second dive of the day, the Pearl of Papua will begin her return voyage to Sorong. Our journey back to Sorong takes 8-9 hours.

Day Nine: Sorong
After breakfast, prepare for disembarkation. Official check out time is 10 AM. From here you will be transferred to your next destination. Your diving journey has ended and we certainly look forward to welcoming you.
