One of our all-time favourites in the most famous national park in Indonesia, a world heritage site and one of the new 7 wonders of the world.

Probably the most known creature of this area is the world’s largest lizard, the Komodo dragon but for divers it offers even more; the current rich waters will lead to spectacular dives with large amounts of fish, sharks and mantas which will make your heartbeat faster.

Our trip starts in Labuan Bajo and ends in Bima or vice versa and we make sure that you will get plenty of time within the park to see and dive all the highlights.

We will visit all top sites like castle rock, Batubolong, Manta Alley And unless the weather does not permit us, we will always go down south in the less crowded part of Rinca with the Horseshoe Bay, here the diving is different to the central and northern part with Cannibal Rock and Larry’s Yellow Wall of Texas being a treat even for the most sophisticated divers; plus, the dragons can be observed in the wild.

On our way to or from Bima we have the chance to dive around the active volcanic island of Sangeang where you can see the phenomenon of bubbles coming out of the reef and sand.

Looking a bit like out of a Jurassic Park movie the landscapes are breath-taking, and we will make sure you can enjoy these on several land excursions such as viewpoints and a visit to the park to see the dragons and learn more about them from the local rangers.

Water temperatures: generally, around 27C but down south it can get much colder with as little as 19C – make sure to bring a warm wetsuit or borrow an extra layer from us.

Program
Day 1

The Amira crew picks up our guests from the airport or hotel. After a welcome drink, our guests check in to their cabins. Afterwards there will be breakfast or lunch, depending on the time of arrival. When all guests are on board and have settled in, a detailed boat and safety briefing will be given by the cruise director. In the afternoon, the general diving briefing explains the process and organization of our diving operations. Usually there are no dives offered on the first day.

Day 2-10

We offer 3-4 dives daily, including a dusk or night dive if possible. During crossings we do a maximum of 2 to 3 dives per day.

Day 11

Last diving day with a maximum of 2 dives and cruise to disembarkation harbor.

Day 12

Check out and transfer to airport or hotel accompanied by our crew
